Pregnant women should eat an egg a day. Egg yolks are excellent source of choline, an essential nutrient that contributes to fetal brain development and helps prevent birth defects. Eggs could help pregnant women to boost the intelligence of their unborn child.

Eat only thoroughly cooked eggs, where the yolk and the white is well cooked.
Note: Do not eat raw or half boiled eggs, since your baby is at a risk for salmonella, a type of bacterial infection.
